Page 9 of A Dragon Tale About A Green Fairy

The fairy, who at first wished to marry

almost cried out, "Yes, yes." unthinkingly.

Instead she offered, "Let's just live

together for awhile and see what happens."

He agreed quite happily as they drank

the rain to signify their beginning.

When the sky dried, she and he went flying

to her moon where they lived unfailingly

happy for a time. Although, purposely

the dragon, who seldom felt content that

he was content, would succumb to his old habit

of spitting red and blue napalm flame at her,

which she invariably turned to ice.

As their time progressed with a rapid pace,

she, one day with a curious face, said,

"Dragon, dear, I think we should soon be wed

as we get along quite beautifully.

We talk honestly and laugh easily.

I cook the meals and you wash the dishes.

And you mind to put the toilet seat down.

These simple things are very hard to find

and worth the fact I sometimes use my wand.

And, my heart tells me children
