"Yes," she said and sprinkled some fairy dust

from her shimmering wings onto his chest.

The dust, like a rainbow, seeped through his scales

and charmed his heart, causing his long spiked tail

to twitch and swish with eager excitement.

"Hmm." The dragon thought. "She's to expressive

to be another little crisp snack, just yet"

The fairy, startled by her own sudden

forwardness, flew back to her blue moon,

remembering it is important to flirt at least a bit

before giving your heart to whom it bets.

The dragon, piqued by her flirt, flew to her

moon and questioned, "What did you mean, honey,

in saying, 'supposed to know each other'?"

"Well, just that," she said. "You see, I've learned

that sometimes certain people should

know each other, and I thought we two could

talk awhile about whatever you like." The fairy paused.

The dragon looked somewhat vexed and perturbed.

"Do you not ever feel like that, sometimes,

when you meet a certain someone?"

"No. Most often I think how best to slice

them into a thick or thin blackened steak."
