SPORE

Hear-Now-Then, Deer.

Come cross the boundary

of bone and tool and feast.

Come. Come. Eat. Eat.

 

What?

Does the meal

prepared for you seem

distasteful? It is.

Eat it anyway. Come.

Cross the boundary

forbidding ancient knowledge:

Know-Thy-Self.

Come. Eat the meal.

Know-Thy-Self

be disgusted

and after chew

this curry seed

with inscription

reading:

 

Broken wing bird in deaths

teeth attempts free fly

in chance presents.

 

Come. Eat the meal, Deers.

Chew the seed. Better

the bitter flavor

of y-our Min’s heart.

 

(SPORE extinguishes last candle and crystal. Exits. End.)
