Traditional Home magazine's 2008 Oceans 3 Showhouse
In the 1930's the Panoramic View Oceanfront Luxury Villas were built along the southern shore of Montauk in Long Island New York. The resort offered beach side accommodations for many a Manhattanite. At the time, it may have been idyllic for the quaint size of vertical bungalows overlooking the continuous waves. But, over the years, the small spaces fell not quite into disrepair, but the neglect typical of many a beach town. “Long in the tooth” an editor of the local guide magazine described them. “Yes, they were once very lovely.” You might have agreed had you ever noticed the villas built along the cliffs of old Montauk highway as you drive East into town. The developers, Panoramic View / Distinctive Ventures LLC, saw that once loveliness and more. In associations with Gentry Construction Inc., they have converted the villas into condos an ocean view from nearly every room.
