News: March 05 Added XML RSS feed of journal and new resource page for blog links. Mystic Theatre and MJZ1569 tentatively agreed to co-produce selected works of Michael Zittel. Pre-production of formatting Cranberry Lynx, Rat King Art, and Purple Rhinoceros into a performance piece entitled "2 cats and a rat" began in March 05. Mystic and MJZ1569 envision a three actor ensemble using heightened movement, spoken word, mask and multimedia to convey the stories. During that time he received several productions of his work, performed in numerous plays and various independent films and was the "featured" reader at hundreds of poetry events. After winning Irean Ryan awards in college and pursuing the Arts for many years he toured internationally with Imago Theater - a movement theater ensemble with roots in the Le Coq method and a tip of the hat to Mummenschanz. After relocating to New York City, he published NYCPoetry.com, which went off line after 9.11. Since then Michael created MJZ1569.com for your enjoyment. His most popular works are linked above.
